Choosing a fencing contractor and not sure how to compare prospective contractors? We have provided a list of questions below to guide you in making the best choice.

Do you offer a guarantee?

The last thing you want is to invest in fencing only to have the materials and/or workmanship fail, resulting in potentially expensive repairs. A fencing contractor should provide at least a two year guarantee on fabrication and installation. 

Are all the fencing components rustproof?

Rust is the enemy of any fence, so it is vitally important to make sure your contractor is using rust proof materials for ALL parts of the fence – this includes components such as latches, hinges and screws.

Are your installers fully insured while on my property?

There is always a small risk of accidents on any work site – ask your fencing contractor if they have adequate insurance to cover these situations.

Do you provide a firm quote?

The last thing you need after budgeting carefully for your new fence is an unexpected cost blow out at the end. Make sure your fencing contractor can provide you with a firm quote or at the very least require your permission before any extra charges are added.
